🎉 Introducing Our New Regional Sales Manager 🎉
We’re delighted to announce that Ivan Sanchez has joined us as the new Regional Sales Manager for New South Wales. With over two decades of expertise in the Software and Technology sector, Ivan has solid experience with tech giants like Salesforce, Microsoft, and Google. From software selling, he transitioned to professional services, bringing his passion for utilising technology to resolve real-world business challenges into the Salesforce ecosystem.
We asked him a few questions to get to know him a bit better…
What part of Salesforce do you love the most? Why?
My respect for Salesforce is deeply rooted in its customer-centric approach. Inspired by Michael Gerber’s ‘The E-Myth,’ I learned early on the importance of orienting businesses around customer needs. I relish the challenge of analysing organisational structures, identifying points for improvement, and employing technology as a solution. Every action should be strategically aimed at delivering customer value, aiding in the optimisation and maximisation of their investments.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
I am a big fan of social activities. Whether it’s volunteering at the school or participating in community events, I’m keen to contribute when not spending quality time with my family. I’m also a golfer and enjoy hitting the links with friends.
Although I’ve scaled back on physical activities compared to the past, I’m committed to enriching my children’s lives. I actively support them in their sports activities and look forward to spending more outdoor time together when summer arrives.
Professionally, I’m venturing into the realm of prompts engineering and data analytics—a pursuit made increasingly accessible thanks to the advancements in AI. With an enthusiasm for perpetual learning, especially in the tech sector, I’m keen on amplifying my skill set and interests.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen when you want to be entertained. I also enjoy doing an impersonation of ‘Despacito.’ However, my all-time favourite band is Dire Straits; ‘Money for Nothing’ is my top pick for a car sing-along.
What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
Spotify is my go-to for music, while LinkedIn serves as an invaluable professional network and resource for staying current with industry news and trends. I frequently utilise ChatGPT for insights and leverage a customised Google News feed to stay ahead of the curve in technology and other areas of interest.
What is your favourite part of working from home?
Working from home gives me the flexibility to arrange my day around when I am most productive. It saves me a lot of time that would be otherwise spent on commuting.
Although my sales role frequently takes me into the field, I find home to be my most productive workspace. It’s tailored to my needs, and equipped with all the technology and amenities I require to get the job done efficiently.
What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney/Australia?
For a taste of Spain close to home, Tapavino in Sydney is my go-to. I also enjoy the Thai eateries in my neighbourhood.
What attracted you to ProQuest?
ProQuest’s culture of innovation and commitment to client value were pivotal factors in attracting me to the company. It’s invigorating to be part of a team that not only strives for excellence but also pushes the boundaries of what’s achievable—a commitment I’ve witnessed firsthand.
I was also drawn to the role and the potential that ProQuest has for business expansion, along with the chance to really amplify the success that the team has already achieved. I’m confident I will be able to easily articulate our value proposition to prospective clients, further highlighting the team’s already significant achievements.
What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
The culture at ProQuest truly stands out. After spending time with the team last week, it was evident that the positive atmosphere is more than just talk; it’s genuinely felt. The team is not only passionate about their projects but also works seamlessly together to make it a truly rewarding environment. It’s clear why employees tend to stay—ProQuest offers ample opportunities for growth and development.
