🎉 Meet Our New Salesforce Associate Consultant, Rama Devarajan! 🎉
We’re excited to introduce Rama Devarajan, the latest addition to our ProQuest family. With a background in Java programming from Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from San Francisco, Rama brings a wealth of technical expertise to our team. Her Salesforce journey is marked by her diverse experiences, including professional roles and volunteer work with multiple non-profit organisations, reflecting her enthusiasm for technology and commitment to ensuring customers get the most from their Salesforce solutions.
We asked her a few questions to get to know her a bit better…
What part of Salesforce do you love the most? Why?
I love the versatility of Salesforce. Whether it’s using out-of-the-box tools or customising it with LWC and APEX, Salesforce adapts to the customers’ needs. Plus, being cloud-based means no device or installation hassles, making work smoother.
What do you like to do for fun when you’re not working?
Cycling with my son is a favourite pastime. I used to be a badminton player back in India, but now I’ve embraced tennis in Australia for its challenge and the total workout it offers. Besides sports, I enjoy music practice, sketching, and drawing while watching YouTube videos. And, as a weekend hobby, I craft handmade soaps from natural ingredients—a fulfilling and creative endeavour I’ve shared with friends back at home.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
I’d probably go with Indian Classical Music. The choice depends on the occasion and setting, as there’s a different type of song for every situation and place.
What is the one website (or app) you can’t live without?
I’m into fitness, so I rely on apps like Cult.Fit and the Fitbit app to stay on track.
What is your favourite part of working from home?
Flexibility is a plus, especially with kids at home. It’s convenient for managing pick-ups, chores, and downtime between tasks. However, it comes with its fair share of distractions, making it a mixed blessing.
What is your favourite restaurant or go-to food in Sydney/Australia?
As a pure vegetarian, my choices are limited, but I do enjoy Mad Mex and a nearby pizza place called Zappis in Sydney.
What attracted you to ProQuest?
Two things caught my attention. Firstly, ProQuest’s leadership board with a significant presence of women was inspiring. Secondly, ProQuest’s values, particularly excellence and honesty, align perfectly with my own. My dedication to Salesforce, combined with shared core values, made it an ideal place to work. I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic team!
What is your favourite part about working at ProQuest so far?
The warm welcome and sense of belonging I’ve experienced at ProQuest have been outstanding. Every team member, regardless of their role, makes you feel valued. As a newcomer, this is incredibly reassuring. Plus, there are ample opportunities for professional growth, making ProQuest a place I knew I had to be.
Welcome, Rama, to the ProQuest family! Your unique blend of skills and expertise adds a vibrant dimension to our team, and we’re excited to have you with us.
