Leadership Team

Clive Roberts – Managing Director

cliveroberts1Clive is the Managing Director of ProQuest Consulting, and founded the company in late 2007. He has been involved at the leading edge of the Australian technology marketplace for 25 years. Back in 1989 he was part of the original team at Sybase Australia, when client-server technologies were first conceptualised, and then moved through a career that included lengthy stints with other innovative technology companies such as Silicon Graphics and webMethods.

It is now cloud computing, and particularly the untapped potential of Salesforce, Amazon and Google Apps, that inspires Clive like never before. His background with the complexities of enterprise IT means that ProQuest is set up to serve the large corporate marketplace with confidence.

But Clive is just as passionate about serving the mid-market, and helping them leverage cloud solutions to gain agility, differentiation, and efficient business processes. In his opinion, the most fun you can have with technology in 60 days, is to take a new customer and implement genuine change through an expertly run Salesforce implementation. Or maybe instead of Salesforce, it’s an infrastructure migration to Amazon Web Services…..Either way, it sure beats a 2-year Oracle Financials implementation.

Under Clive’s stewardship, the company has grown rapidly, services companies from small to large,  and enjoys significant competitive edge from its own adoption of cloud-based services.

Darrell King – Practice Lead – AWS and Mobility Solutions

Darrell-King_1Darrell joined ProQuest in September 2011 to lead the ProQuest team responsible for assisting a major Australian telecommunications company migrate their systems and assets into the Amazon cloud.  The project was highly successful and entered production in December 2011.

Darrell’s career in high performance networking and computing was established during his tenure at Australia’s most famous digital effects company, Animal Logic. He was part of the systems team assisting in delivering the Oscar winning feature Happy Feet and was deeply involved in the construction of Australia’s large grid compute cluster.

Darrell then went on to found Australia’s first Multi-Tenanted SaaS platform, delivering “Business in a Box” to SMEs. Utilising EMC, VMware and IBM blade centre technologies, he architected a modular system, which facilitated scaled out technologies and centralised resource management

Prior to joining ProQuest, Darrell worked inside the AlphaWest team responsible for building the Optus Cloud Platform – “Optus Elevate”. The project was an IaaS based implementation based on VCE Vblock. Darrell provided technical liaison between the beta customer base and the project team exposing him to all aspects and layers in the technology stack

He then became a Solution Architect in the data centre, systems and storage team. He worked on the team to deliver the Solution Architecture for their future Optus Cloud Platform – Storage as a Service Offering.

At ProQuest Darrell is responsible for expanding the AWS practice and developing a business in mobility solutions.

Fergus Kelledy – Head of Solution Design

Fergus brings to ProQuest a measured tone, an inquisitive mind, design elegance and a quest for minimalism. In which case we really should respect his humility and keep this short. Suffice to say Fergus has a PhD, he has been architecting software systems for 15 years, and he is extremely talented in what he does.
In the past, Fergus worked as a Technical Lead in the Telecoms sector, delivering a Revenue Assurance solution to tier one telecom clients including Vodafone Group worldwide. More recently, Fergus worked as a Scalability and Performance Architect within the financial services sector, tasked with the responsibility of re-engineering existing products to meet the performance and scalability needs of tier one banking clients including UBS. Both of these roles provided Fergus with valuable insights into designing scalable software systems and the benefits of the agile approach to software development, of which he is a major proponent.
Fergus joined ProQuest in late 2010 on his arrival in Sydney. Since then he has been engaged as a Solution Architect across several streams of activity on a major project within ProQuest’s largest banking client.

Alison Page – Lead Salesforce Consultant.

Alison-Page_1If someone wants to develop a career focussed around the awesome potential of Salesforce, the very best preparation experience would be to play a pivotal role within a company that is using Salesforce to propel its growth on the global stage.

Introducing Alison Page. Alison spent several years at Integrated Research, an impressive Australian software company listed on the ASX.

Here she helped the management team innovate and grow the company. She helped Track sales pipeline through dashboard and reporting, but she drove programs that established Salesforce as the core platform the company could use in order to meet its global growth targets. For example she designed and implemented processes for license and maintenance renewal contracts and established integration between ERP and CRM as well as peripheral system integrations to ensure full visibility of performance.

Since joining ProQuest in July 2011, she has played an invaluable role in ensuring key customers such as NUIX, Our Deals and Carsguide (News Digital)  are not only successful with their early Salesforce implementations, but share her ambition to see Salesforce truly streamline their business processes.

Alison also ran Integrated Research’s adoption of Marketo for lead nurturing and campaign management – the first such implementation in Australia. ProQuest has recently bought Marketo for its own marketing programs.

Alison is responsible for ensuring our Salesforce customers are served throughout their relationship with ProQuest, and that our Salesforce practice is properly up to date with current trends and innovations.
